Customer Experience is “Key”

One of the most important factors to close sales is to ensure that customers receive excellent experience.

By mentioning this, a lot of sellers may argue that “Yes, and this is why I hardly close. My product is not branded and very few customers have experience using my products before.”

I do not quite agree with this statement because “experience” I am talking about here could happen although they never had experience using your product before.

But it is all about customer experience related to “you” as a seller.

For instance, my very first call objective is not always to close sales (well, it would be great if I could close though ^^).

Instead, my very first objective is always to deliver “excellent customer experience”, particularly about my responsiveness.

Those examples are……

1) Visit prospects within 24 hours after being contacted
2) Never hesitate to make face-to-face visit although issues can be discussed over the phone
3) Submit quotation immediately after each call
4) Follow up within 24 hours after every proposal submission

Whether or not they will buy is irrelevant at this stage. By receiving this kind of experience, I could assure that customer will, more or less, think that “Ummm, this seller is very responsive.”

Most of the time, purchasing department does not make a decision purely based on price.

Instead, this customer experience will be the key success factor and raise your chance to close the sales afterwards.
