How to Handle “Let Me Think About It” Objection

There must be lots of situations when customers are not ready to make a decision and tell you that “Let me think about it”.

Let’s see how to handle this kind of objection.

1) Silence and pause

The last thing you want to do is to continue talking and hope that customers will change their mind.

Trust me, they won’t. You should instead use silence and pause after hearing such an objection. At least, you show that you are listening.

2) Take a break but not completely stop

It is better to take a break but not stop forever by using this comment. “No problem Mr. Customer. I’ll leave all details with you and let me follow up again in 2 weeks.”

This ensures that you will not push them but will surely follow up for the progress.

3) Empathy and go forward

It is also OK to go forward. Let’s see the example of this conversation.

“Mr. Customer. I totally understand that this decision is not easy to make.”

“Apart from price, would you be able to share with me any other concerns you may have.”

Your empathy here definitely avoids pressure and if asked properly, the answer will greatly help you go forward with your sales.

Try these techniques and your opportunities may be widely opened again.
