Quantity Matters Most

When it comes to improving your selling skills, I would recommend that you focus on quantity, rather than quality.

It is not surprising that a lot of you might argue and not understand why quality does not come first.

Let me explain what has been written about this in a best-selling book of Neil Rackham – one of my favorite sales gurus.

He compares with learning a language. You are not going to be fluent by ensuring the top quality of your grammar before start speaking.

The only way is to speak as often as possible. And this is the same as practicing selling skills.

You won’t be competent by ensuring that every skill will be perfect by the time you practically do it in the actual sales calls.

You just have to go ahead and practice those particular skills as often as possible in the actual sales calls.

However, please be reminded that this kind of practice should not be done in the important sales calls.

Just select customers that you are familiar with or any other small calls which will not have a major affect on your performance.

So what are you waiting for? Just pick any skills you’d like to enhance and start doing it now.
